At Compass Group Australia, the safety of our people is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced Manager Safety Systems and Reporting to join our Safety team and drive innovation, continuous improvement, and data-led change across our national operations.

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Safety Reporting and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading the management of HSEQ systems, reporting, document management, and safety projects across Compass Group Australia. You will partner with operational leaders, safety teams, and external vendors to ensure systems are effective, insights are data-driven, and safety processes are embedded across the organisation.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance safety systems (including CHESS, Helios, and mobile applications) to improve reporting, analytics, and usability.
  • Manage safety reporting dashboards and deliver insights that support data-driven decisions.
  • Oversee the administration of the Safety Document Management System.
  • Drive safety projects from design through to implementation, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to safety administrators and system coordinators.
  • Partner with senior safety leaders, operational managers, and digital technology teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Support innovation in predictive safety analytics.

 The Person

  • 10+ years’ experience in health & safety or a broad operational environment (supervisory or higher).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and strong digital technology literacy.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with proven success in system implementation and reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training (highly regarded).
