We are currently seeking experienced, casual Security Officers to work at our hospital site based at Waratah, Newcastle. These positions are integral in ensuring the safety of hospital patients, visitors and employees and performing access control and asset surveillance duties to meet our contractual obligations and client requirements.
To be successful in this role you will have previous operational security experience ideally within a hospital or corporate environment, have a strong safety focus, excellent people and communication skills and be professionally presented. In addition, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Current Security Licence - Class 1A
Minimum Certificate II - Security Operations
Current First Aid Certificate
Professional presentation and communication skills
Ability to apply appropriate conflict management skills across varied situations
Accurately complete security shift reports when required
Ability and willingness to work in compliance with site, legislative and contractual policies
Flexibility to work 8 hour shifts over a 7 day, 24 hour roster
High level of physical fitness
Class C Motor Vehicle Driver Licence
In line with the required legislation, a valid and current national criminal record check clearance and appropriate health clearance will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position. Further advice in regard to required clearances will be discussed with applicants successful in moving to interview.
