FIFO Maintenance Painter

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out painting maintenance and refurbishment works across accommodation villages and site facilities
• Preparing surfaces including patching, sanding, scraping and cleaning prior to painting
• Applying paints, coatings and finishes to a high standard across interior and exterior assets
• Completing preventative and reactive maintenance painting tasks
• Identifying defects and reporting maintenance requirements to supervisors
• Maintaining painting equipment and ensuring a clean and safe work area
• Working collaboratively with plumbers, electricians, refrigeration technicians and other trades
• Contributing to the delivery of safe, comfortable and well-maintained village environments

THE PERSON

To be successful, you will possess:

• Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or demonstrated industry experience
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, coatings and surface preparation
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade team
• Current C Class Driver's Licence
• Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screening
• Must reside in Western Australia and be able to FIFO from Perth Airport
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, mining or remote environments highly regarded
