$90,000.00 Annual Base + 12% Superannuation

Restaurant Associates has an enviable track record, working with some of the most prestigious venues and corporations in the world. From grand gala events, corporate cocktail parties to intimate gatherings, we provide bespoke food solutions and exceptional dining experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a brand-new café focused on delivering a best-in-class culinary experience based in Barangaroo, Sydney, working Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm. This role is part of a strategic initiative to enhance the workplace experience and support the client's vision of becoming Australia's employer of choice. The café is a single-site operation dedicated to producing exceptional breakfast, lunch, and grab-and-go offerings using the highest quality local produce. You will play a key role in shaping a customer-centric dining experience, delivering outstanding food quality, innovation, and service in a modern corporate environment.  

THE POSITION

  • Lead and influence a brand-new café producing premium produce 
  • Set standards across quality, culture, and performance 
  • Oversee dining and event execution, including creative menu development 
  • Drive team productivity, structure, and operational efficiency 
  • Act as a trusted 2IC to the Head Chef, supporting leadership and growth 
  • Maintain control across food safety, compliance, and cost performance 

THE PERSON

  • 5+ years in a senior culinary leadership role 
  • Background in corporate catering, events, fine dining, or large-scale production 
  • Strong leadership presence — able to drive standards and performance 
  • Passionate culinary foodie who lives and breathes provenance, unique products and seasonality 
  • Highly organised and commercially aware 
  • Confident delivering premium café dining experiences 
  • Solid knowledge of digital HACCP, allergen management, and compliance 
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to challenge, adapt, and grow
