Corporate Fine Dining Sous Chef Roles

From $37.60 / hour + 25% loading

THE POSITION 

  • Be a leader in our kitchens, support the site based culinary teams.
  • Support our permanent kitchen teams across our corporate, premium & fine dining sectors. 
  • Work in state-of-the-art kitchens with passionate teams. 
  • Work at events, in boardrooms and/or premium venues. 
  • Food preparation, cooking, and presentation of all food offerings. 
  • Actively maintain a complete awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating as well as allergens and dietary requirements. 
  • Ensure all OH&S compliance is achieved, and wastage is kept to a minimum. 

THE PERSON 

  • Polished, professional, and hospitality focused with a calm demeanour, good communication (written & verbal), ability to multitask and collaborate with a well organised team as well as engaging with clients. You will be passionate about food and the industry.  
  • The ability to provide discrete service and are adaptable to change. 
  • Experienced in advanced function, restaurant and event experience along with advanced knowledge on food safety knowledge. 
  • Knowledgeable on the latest on-trend food and cooking techniques, have excellent food & food safety knowledge, allergen awareness, proficient technical skills (knife handling and cookery) and can confidently run a section in the kitchen. 
  • 2+ years' experience as a CDP or above. Corporate dining environment, 5-star hotel or fine dining hatted restaurant. 
  • Must be able to showcase restaurant quality plated food with on-trend flavour profiles.  
  • Maintain impeccable presentation and grooming standards and a proud ambassador of our kitchens.
