The Position

  • Work with a team of Chefs, kitchen utilities and dining room employees to deliver exceptional quality and service
  • Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
  • Preparing buffet style bulk cooking for students
  • Menu planning, costing and stocktake
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
  • Offer guidance and support to the wider kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customers

The Person

  • You will be a qualified Chef with Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Sound HACCP knowledge and experience
  • Previous experience in bulk cooking is essential. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Be a team player, but also be able to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and great time management is a must
  • Current drivers licence required 
  • Flexible and adaptive nature
