CHEF SUPERVISOR – FULL TIME – SINGLETON 

$33 per hour + super | Monday to Friday | Defence kitchen

• Full-time Chef Supervisor role at Singleton Military Area
• $33 per hour + superannuation
• Predominantly Monday to Friday roster

ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking an experienced Chef Supervisor to join our team at Singleton Military Area. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to chefs who enjoy leading teams, maintaining high standards and delivering consistent, quality food in a structured environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support kitchen team to deliver daily meals and functions
• Oversee food production, stock control and kitchen operations
• Ensure compliance with food safety, OH&S and HACCP standards
• Manage menu execution, forecasting and waste minimisation
• Maintain allergen management and dietary compliance
• Support breakfast and lunch service in line with roster

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Experience in a Chef Supervisor or leadership role
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
• Well organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Defence clearance

ROSTER

• Predominantly Monday to Friday
• Shifts: 5:30am – 1:30pm or 11:00am – 7:30pm
• Occasional weekend coverage required
