$35.00/hr + 12% Super

THE POSITION

• This role is responsible for the successful coordination, events and functions, including client (internal and external) liaison and dining operations.
• Assist in coordinating the front of house team’s daily operations and function operations.
• Varied roster based on events
• Lead from the front, mentor and train the team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment
• Provide administration support to the site’s management team 
• Adherence to Our Safety Culture framework is expected
• Conduct follow-up correspondence with clients and respond to feedback
• Liaise with kitchen and service teams regarding room set up and menu requirements during weekly run sheet meetings
• Provide a warm, friendly and welcoming service to customers and clients

THE PERSON

• Proven experience in a function venue for large events such as sit down /cocktail parties / buffet or conference experience
• Demonstrated previous experience in leading a team as a 2IC, identifying opportunities for improvement, training and developing staff
• Good knowledge of Melbourne food and beverage scene
• Excellent communication skills, ability to confidently lead team briefing sessions
• Experience with an online booking system, ensuring table and coordinating guests
• Well-groomed and professional in appearance with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
• A current Working With Children Check or ability to obtain is a requirement of this role
