Brett's story

Brett Kern is the Operations Manager at the Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, QLD. He’s been with Compass Group for over six years, starting in a Hospitality Allrounder and Kitchen Hand role. Since then, he’s handled various jobs including Cleaner, Groundsman, Barman, Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager. Brett says he loves the job diversity in the company as well as having job security. “Our company is very diverse and we employ an extremely wide range of people. Each role has its own unique touch. I have been very fortunate in my time with the company discovering a vast support network whilst learning new skills for new roles along the way. I think the key element that sets Compass Group above all other competitors is our ability to adapt to change with circumstances very quickly."
