Full-time Chef

$30/hr + super | $37.50 Saturday | $45 Sunday

• Full-time role (weekends with penalty rates)

You’ll be working as part of a professional team producing fresh, quality food for students and the wider college community.

The Position

• Prepare and deliver fresh, high-quality meals for school students and events
• Lead daily kitchen operations while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Mentor and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive, service-focused culture
• Ensure full OH&S compliance, following safe work practices and food handling procedures
• Manage stock levels and ordering to meet budget requirements
• Support training and development of apprentices and junior chefs

The Person

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) for the Chef’s role
• Experience as a Chef for the Chef’s role
• Experience as a Cook for the Cook’s role
• Skilled in bulk cooking with a strong focus on quality and presentation
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and food safety knowledge
• A team player who can also work independently
• Obtain a Blue Card (paid)
