We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Analyst to provide strong analytical support across Defence. This involves commercial finance analysis across Defence, involvement in commercial negotiations and development of commercial process and analysis Promotion and support of Our Safety Culture framework is expected.

The Position:

• Support the Commercial Business Partner and General Manager of Operations with all strategic, commercial and financial matters
• Liaise with and support General Manager of Operations and National Operation Managers in mobilisation activities.
• Involvement with key commercial and client matters in relation to Defence, understanding the intricacies of the contract, proposing and working through commercial improvements and due diligence activities.
• Produce and advocate for value-add analysis of operational and financial KPIs as well as provision of insights for use by Operations
• Developing and supporting to build reporting so the Operations team can understand, manage and track financials.
• Overall management and execution of contract change proposals.
• Challenge “ways of doing business”, including business models adopted whilst identifying efficiencies for improvement and growth
• Support the commercial team in the review of different service streams, ensuring financials are in line with the bid proposal.

The Person:

• Location: Sydney preferred
• Significant experience in commercial accounting qualified and/or studying towards a CPA or CA qualification
• Advanced Excel skills, attention to detail and strong internal and external communication and influencing skills
• Experience with Power BI & Anaplan and Data Modelling.
• Results oriented and be able to demonstrate sound technical and analytical skills, alone with the ability to lead and drive performance.
