Restaurant Associates, part of Compass Group, delivers exceptional hospitality experiences for some of the world's most recognised organisations. We are currently growing our culinary team at Google's vibrant Pyrmont campus and are inviting passionate hospitality professionals to attend our upcoming Chef & Cook Interview Day.

Whether you're an experienced Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or Cook, we'd love to meet you.

Current Opportunities

Sous Chef

Full-Time

• $85,000 annual salary + 12% Super
• Monday to Friday roster
• Leadership opportunities within a high-performing culinary team
• Large-scale catering and premium corporate hospitality

Chef de Partie

Full-Time

• $35.37 per hour + 12% Super
• Monday to Friday roster
• Rotating shifts between 6:00am and 6:00pm
• Opportunities to develop and progress your culinary career

Commis Chef

Part-Time (24 hours per week)

• $30.96 per hour + Super
• Tuesday to Thursday roster
• Exposure to premium corporate events and hospitality
• Additional hours available from time to time

Cook

Part-Time

• $30.13 per hour + Super
• Monday to Friday roster
• Varied shifts across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Excellent pathway into chef development opportunities

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on your experience and role level, responsibilities may include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals
• Supporting premium corporate hospitality and event catering
• Function and large-volume food production
• Menu preparation and execution
• Managing stock control, ordering and inventory
• Ensuring food safety, allergen management and HACCP compliance
• Maintaining exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Delivering outstanding guest and client experiences
• Supporting kitchen operations and collaborating with hospitality teams

What We're Looking For

We're seeking passionate food professionals who bring energy, creativity and a commitment to excellence.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in commercial kitchens, hospitality or catering environments
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills
• A passion for quality food and customer service
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• For Chef roles, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded (mandatory for Chef de Partie and Sous Chef positions)
• Ability to obtain a valid Police Check

Leadership experience will be highly regarded for Sous Chef candidates.
