We are seeking a Tax Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead all tax-related matters across our Australian operations. Reporting to the National Manager – Tax, General Manager – Finance & Tax, and Executive Director – Finance, this role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, managing risk, and supporting strategic business decisions. You’ll be part of a values-driven organisation with a collaborative team culture, and enjoy a balanced hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Risk Management
Oversee corporate income tax, GST, payroll tax, and FBT compliance
Manage ATO enquiries, audits, and external advisor relationships
Lead local tax policy and governance aligned with the Group strategy
Maintain and monitor the Australian tax risk register
Tax Planning & Business Support
Identify and lead tax planning opportunities
Advice on tax implications for tenders, M&A, capex, reorganisations, and compensation
Tax Reporting
Review and sign off on Group tax submissions, statutory disclosures, and monthly cash tax reporting
Leadership & Culture
Mentor and develop finance team members in tax compliance
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
The Person
We're looking for a confident, proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
CA, CPA, or CTA qualified
10+ years of tax experience (corporate or professional services)
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with Oracle and contract-based or service industries (desirable)
Please note: This role will be based in our Perth Office, 12 Newcastle Street, East Perth, 6000, WA.
