ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote workers, providing essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, a cold drink and freshly laundered workwear for those working away from home. We provide retail and vending solutions, health, wellness and recreational services, security, grounds maintenance and more.  We truly provide all the hospitality solutions to ensure all guests experience the comforts of home even in isolated locations. But of course, we can’t do this without an amazing team!

Maddie's story

Madison Gardner started as a casual hospitality allrounder in one of our remote sites in Port Haven, WA four years ago. Her role included kitchen hand duties, bar work as well as housekeeping. In 2016, Maddie was offered a full-time role in housekeeping. When her unit manager saw her dedication, she was then give the opportunity to become a site administrator.

“Taking that big step in 2015 to jump into the FIFO sector was the best thing I’ve ever done. I have Compass Group to thank for my achievements. I love our great team work as well as our passion to succeed on a daily basis.” For those thinking about taking the leap, Maddie says to just “give it a go.” “Don’t be scared to take on a new challenge.
