FIFO Permanent Relief Chef Supervisor/Sous Chef

• 14/7 10hr day (14 days on 7 days off)
• FIFO (fly in and fly out) ex Brisbane, Rockhampton and Townsville
• Work across all Anglo American villages located in Middlemount, Moranbah and Moura

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback. 

We’re currently experiencing a significant growth phase in the remote sector, specifically throughout our Central QLD Region. As part of this expansion, we’re seeking experienced Sous Chefs to join our permanent relief team and support operations across our Anglo sites located in Moranbah, Middlemount, and Moura.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work gain valuable experience and broadening your exposure within the remote mining hospitality sector. 

This is a Fly in and fly out position (FIFO), 14 days on, 7 days off 10-hour days flights, accommodation and meals included. 

FIFO where possible from the following points of hire: Brisbane, Townsville and Rockhampton 

Locals are encouraged to apply on a drive-in, drive-out basis. 

The Position 

• Chef Supervisor

• Sous Chef

The Person 

• Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential) 

• Food safety supervisory certification (desirable) 

• Experience within bulk catering mining environments 

• Flexibility to work across multiple sites within the Central QLD region 

• Experience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelines
