We are currently recruiting for a Retail System Specialist to join our team. This is a 03 days a week part-time position and will be based in our Brisbane office. Reporting to Senior Product Manager, the Retail System Specialist is tasked to support the development, deployment and training of Compass Group nominated Retail Systems – POS, Online ordering Applications and Mobile Apps across all Compass Group sectors. This role involves planning for the system implementations, design, configuration, administration, training and support for future rollouts and existing sites.

This is a business facing, information systems role, which directly supports internal business clients across the Compass Group. The Retail System Specialist will work with the team to facilitate the efficient deployment, operational effectiveness and continuous improvement of the systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achievement of MAP 2,3 &4 objectives
    • MAP 2 – Brands, Volume
    • MAP 3 – Recipes, Menus, In Unit Controls
    • MAP 4 – Labour Structure, Processes & Training
  • Business/System Tasks
    • Provide daily operational support for the suite of Retail applications
    • Requirement analysis and site audit for new implementations
    • System Implementation including set up, configure, deliver, install, train
    • May also need to travel to sites for new mobilisations and training staff
    • Provide Customer Support including periodic on-call duties
    • Level 2 support of the systems and ticket escalation to vendor
    • Support system upgrades activities - with a specific focus on acceptance testing and Key Stakeholders UAT escalations with vendor
  • Systems Improvement Projects Tasks
    • Identify and develop ideas to improve the system functionalities
    • Assist in developing training materials/courses that are appropriate for end-users through deployment
  • System Administration Tasks
    • Assist the System Administrator in Database clean up
    • Monitor and maintain products in the database
    • Initiate system changes requests as required.
  • Work with colleagues and customers

    • Draft correspondence
    • Provide quality customer service

 

The Person

  • At least 3 years' experience in software implementations and support – preferably POS software or eComm applications
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and follow them to successful Implementation
  • Experience in Retail Operations
  • Self-motivated team player with strong inter-personal skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and articulate opportunities for process improvements
  • Strong customer service experience with focus on quality
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and written skills
  • A team player that proactively inputs and contributes to the team
  • Ability to prioritise work and work with minimal

Desirable

  • ITIL
  • Business system or resource planning
  • Experience coordinating business change management initiatives
