From café kitchens and kiosks to catered events like weddings and corporate functions, you'll craft unforgettable dishes, showcasing creativity and leadership. The Position:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations across multiple outlets.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
  • Contribute to menu planning and execution, including catering and café offerings.
  • Oversee stock levels, inventory control, and ensure consistent presentation and portioning.
  • Train staff, enforce safety protocols, and step in for the Executive Chef when needed.

 

The Person:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior role in a high-volume kitchen, with Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP procedures, and a passion for sustainability and local produce.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty, and fairness towards colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Adaptable, willing to learn and grow, and able to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
